About Me

Hi, I’m MaiHan (pronounced “My-Hawn”).

Born in Vietnam and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, I immigrated to the United States at the age of two with my family. Growing up alongside two deeply hardworking immigrant parents shaped my perspective early on, instilling in me a strong sense of perseverance, purpose, and gratitude.

I am a graduate of Purdue University and hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, as well as a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

As a proud first-generation immigrant, I am honored to be living the American Dream. I find inspiration in meaningful human connection, diverse cultures, new experiences, and travel. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me at home with my three beloved cats— my princess Stormi, my troublemaker Miko, and my slightly obese Cool Whip.

Now, it’s my privilege to turn that lens toward you, preserving your story with intention, artistry, and care.

I founded MaiHan Photography in 2017 with the intention of preserving meaningful stories through a refined creative lens. In a world that moves quickly, it’s easy to overlook the quiet beauty of the present moment. My purpose is to create timeless imagery, heirlooms meant to be cherished by families and passed down for generations.

Based between Lafayette and Indianapolis, Indiana, I photograph throughout the region and beyond, always eager to travel, whether for photography or exceptional food. My editing style is warm and moody, thoughtfully crafted to highlight genuine emotion and those raw, unposed moments that speak louder than words.
